But what it offers is something far more personal.
Stillness. Space. Silence.
There are places in the world that do not ask anything of you. That do not require you to perform, to produce, or to keep pace. Jankhai — on the rarely visited northern shore of Khövsgöl — is one of them. The forest reaches the water's edge. The lake stretches further than the eye can follow. And the silence here is not empty — it is full, in the way that only genuinely wild places can be.
Six nights at Jankhai — a remote and rarely visited northern shore of Lake Khövsgöl
Daily yoga by the lake — open sky, clean air, and complete stillness (all levels welcome)
Gentle reindeer encounters in the surrounding forest — unhurried and unforced
Time with nomadic herder women — real conversations, shared life, and cultural exchange
Kayaking or boating across crystal-clear water
Horseback riding through forest paths and open lakeside meadows
Visit the sacred Wish Rock — a place of quiet intention and reflection
Closing circle ceremony — a meaningful and grounding end to the journey
Led entirely by a female guide — creating a space that is safe, warm, and entirely your own

The journey begins with a 1.5-hour flight from Ulaanbaatar to Mörön — the gateway to northern Mongolia. From Mörön, a two-hour drive through forest and mountain terrain leads to Jankhai on the northern shore of Khövsgöl.
The first view of the lake from this shore is one of the journey's defining moments — deep blue water, framed by pine forest and endless sky. Nothing prepares you for the scale of it.
The retreat remains at Jankhai for the duration. Day trips by boat cross to Wish Rock on the opposite shore. Forest walks move into the trees behind the camp. The nomadic family visit is a short drive away. Horseback riding begins directly from the ger.
On Day 7, the group returns to Mörön for the flight back to Ulaanbaatar.
